Excel mis-features: Turning off short menus

Excel has a “feature” that shows only the most used choices on a menu. This has been in Excel since Excel 2000. Most experienced users HATE this. Here’s a look.

To turn this off, right click on the menu bar and select “Customize…”. Go to the Options tab, and turn on “Always show full menus”.

Here’s a quick screencast that illustrates the same thing. Sorry, only Windows Media for right now.

Thanks for posting this very useful tip. How can microsoft imagine that anyone could benefit from this feature, it just drives people mad when they can't find something they know is around there somewhere.
